He joined Barclays bank as a broker in 1983

 Volkskas as a broker in 1986

Nedbank as a broker in 1994

Passed the institute of Life and Pension Advisors exams (ILPA) in 1984

Admitted as a fellow of the institute of Life and Pension Advisors (FILPA) in 1985

Certified Financial Planner (CFP™) and admitted as fellow of the International Affiliated Financial Planning Institute

Became an independent broker in 1996

Personal

Cobus is married to Ansa and they have two children, Emil married to Coreen, Christèll married to Johan.  They have three grandchildren, Daan Heinrich and Stacey.

Cobus is a Christian and a committed family man.  His family has always been one of his most important values.
